We are a community who understand that there is no stupid questions and we appreciate every effort from everyone to help each other out. FOSS folks tend to be cool people, so be a member now!
FOSSchix.my, founded in September 2008, started in a chatroom among OSS enthusiasts when discussing how LinuxChix doesn't have a chapter in Malaysia. Feeling that Linux can be abit intimidating for newbies, FOSSchix is adopted instead.
Goals
We are moving towards building a strong community for women in Malaysia with all these in mind:
- To support women in using OSS in the public and private sector
- To bring women together to participate in various FOSS projects
- To share knowledge among us with respect and dignity regardless of level of expertise
