Malaysia CIO Conference and MYGOSSCON 2011

In keeping with the continuous effort by the Government of Malaysia to ensure that its CIOs and Open Source communities remain at the leading edge of technology and knowledge, MAMPU has announced the MALAYSIA CIO CONFERENCE and MYGOSSCON 2011.

This combined event brings together two of the most iconic IT events in the Malaysian IT industry delivering most up to date and advanced technological forum for the Open Source communities and CIOs  in two impactful days.

Showcase Exhibition

Malaysia CIO Conference and MYGOSSCON 2011 Showcase Exhibition will attract around 1,000 participants from various groups including CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, industry leaders, academicians, open source communities and government officials. Showcase and demonstrate your latest solutions and services.

International OSS Creative Multimedia Competition

Offering lucrative prizes totalling RM50,000, the competition is aimed at demonstrating how OSS can be the platform for creative multimedia productions and not just for the techies. It is open to all students from higher learning institution worldwide.

Malaysian Government Open Source Software (MyGOSS) 2011 Award 

MyGOSS 2011 Award organised by Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU), Prime Minister's Department. This is a new award initiated by the Open Source Competency Center, MAMPU. MyGOSS Award is to recognise and acknowledge organisations in their efforts in implementing open source software to promote service excellence and effective use of ICT. This award is open to all agencies and organisations in the Malaysian Public Sector.


Malaysian Schools OpenOffice.org Competition 2011 for Schools

Not forgetting the young ones who are about to start on the open source communities, a competition was also organised by Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MOE). Competition was opened to all primary and secondary students all over Malaysia to introduce and encourage the use of open source software.
